With regards to permitting, which side of a waterfront property is considered the “front?”

The waterfront side of the property is legally considered the front of the property for permitting purposes. This has┬áramifications on what can be built, and what the setbacks are from the property lines. In order to avoid confusion we always refer to the “waterside” and the “street side.” Give us a call if you want to know setbacks and permitted uses for each zoning classification.

Testimonials We have had Charlie and his team buy and sell 5 properties for us in Annapolis over the last 12 years, and will surely sign on again. They are wonderful to work with in every way, and we can highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Annapolis area. Charlie, Reid, Sarah, and Brad have made all the transactions very easy for us, and each experience was stress free. They listened to our concerns and made us feel comfortable with our decisions.
