Charlie Buckley, known as “Mr. Waterfront”,
is an Associate Broker who specializes in waterfront and water-oriented properties
in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and across the Bay Bridge
on Kent Island.
Charlie has been specializing in serving waterfront buyers
and sellers full time since 1994. He has been the #1 volume
real estate agent (out of all companies) in Annapolis, Maryland
since 1995. In addition, he sells more waterfront homes
than anyone in the State of Maryland.
Prior to real estate, Charlie was the National Sales Manager
for a company selling computer systems to the Federal government.
He understands technology and uses it to help buyers and
sellers make good decisions. Charlie was one of the first
agents in the nation to showcase multiple-listed properties
on the internet for his buyers and sellers to use. This
system is now used by millions of buyers and sellers nationwide
in products like “realtor.com.”
Charlie has also been an innovator in the human services
field. For ten years, Charlie was the CEO and Owner of a
company that operated schools for developmentally-disabled
adults across the country. Charlie designed and implemented
an innovative educational system for these individuals in
which a professional training program was provided for them
in banks across the country. Once the training was complete,
the banks would hire the person with a disability as a regular,
full-time employee.
Charlie earned a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology
from the University of Delaware. He was awarded a Bachelors
Degree in Science from St. Joseph’s University in
Philadelphia, PA. Charlie was raised in Wilmington, Delaware,
where he graduated from Salesianum High School.
In Charlie’s opinion, a top-quality teacher and a
top-quality salesperson are doing exactly the same thing:
educating his/her clients. When asked about his strategy
for selling homes, Charlie said, “I believe that if
I educate potential buyers and sellers so that they understand
the waterfront real estate market -- its nuances and options
-- then my clients will be able to make wise decisions that
will ultimately enhance their lives and the lives of those
they love.”
