Millersville, MD
Millersville is named for the first postmaster, George Miller. Established on July 24, 1841, it was the first post office to be established along the Annapolis & Elkridge Railroad. Known as Childs Residence, Miller’s residence is still a focal point of the town and has continuously served as the post office and community store for 130 years. It is now home to the Anne Arundel County Trails Program. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
